Create Interactive World Maps with WordPress!

6

Over the last couple of hours, we’ve been testing out one of Carlos Moreira’s WordPress items on CodeCanyon. It’s an Interactive Word Maps plugin, and in this article, we’ll be telling you what we thought of it.

Carlos Moreira has a degree in Multimedia Design and has been in contact with WordPress almost since it was first released 10 years ago. Over the last year he focused on developing premium plugin solutions for WordPress. He currently lives in Berlin, Germany, working full time as a freelance WordPress Developer.

The official description given to this plugin is a WordPress plugin to create as many maps as you want, with interactive and colored markers, continents, countries or regions. The plugin allows you to show hundreds of different types of maps, including full world map, continent and sub-continent maps, country maps, state maps, and many other layouts.

We found that the installation of the plugin was fairly simple, and we managed to create our first map without any problems at all. Whilst the plugin comes with high-quality support, there wasn’t anything we felt we needed to ask for, because of how great the plugin was, right out-of-the-box.

Here’s a few examples of the maps you can make by using this great plugin:

There are similar plugins already available on the market, however, there are so many features available in this one plugin, we really couldn’t fault the functionality of it.

The plugin has received lots of great reviews and testimonials already, from buyers of the item, with user describing the plugin as a gem! Here’s one short review of the plugin, from one very satisfied buyer.

This is the easiest to use plugin. I bought the plugin to use for a client’s site that does work all over the world. They wanted an easy way to display information about their work in different countries and this made my life so simple. Well worth the money and I’ll be back to purchase for any additional clients who need this type of functionality. Benjamin Bradley.

You may still wonder where you can use this plugin. We think that this plugin is perfect for:

  • Travel Websites – Create maps to display destinations and link to pages about a specific location.
  • Traveler Website – Display a map with destinations/countries visited.
  • Multinational Companies – Create maps of the cities/countries where they operate.
  • Small Companies – Show the location of the business in a country map.
  • NGO’s – Create maps of NGO projects around the world.
  • Infographics – Display simple to read maps with various information.

At the time of reviewing, the plugin had already received over 1,600 purchases, and had an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars.

You can purchase the plugin on CodeCanyon, by clicking here.

Hey Roger, I’m not sure I can answer all of these questions (perhaps contacting the plugin author will be best), however, I’m 99% sure this won’t work on WordPress.com as it’s a CodeCanyon plugin and isn’t part of the WordPress plugin repository. Best to speak to the plugin author directly and see what they have to say :)
